High Power Transistor Test Fixtures
ICM’s High Power Test Fixtures are used to interface coaxial connectors with High Power Devices. This flexible platform has interchangeable components to accommodate a variety of Packages and Test Applications. See exploded views of High Power Test Fixture below:
1) Selection of the Connector Transition
Connector series included are as follows:
The user should give careful consideration to maximum frequency, power, duration, and environment. ICM has multiple Connector Transition versions available to accommodate various trace widths.
Launch sections can be 50 ohm, or have Customer Designed pre-matching circuitry. The Microstrip material and Trace width should be correctly paired to match the DUT in order to realize optimum performance.
To secure the DUT for proper contact:
– DUT’s with Flanges will have screw down holes provided. Midsections will have matching DUT width and height between leads and bottom of device.
– DUT’s without flanges shall utilize a scew down cover. Midsections will have matching DUT width and height between leads and bottom of device.
ICM can provide Heatsinks for this platform. The Cooling plate is capable of being in direct contact with the DUT midsection to accommodate heating/cooling. Air or liquid external cooling ports options are available as well. These cooling ports may be used in series or parallel. Heatsink may also be removed to mount test fixture onto a hot/cold plate for environmental control.
TRL Calibration Kits
TRL Calibration Kits allow the user to de-embed the test fixture. Standard 50 ohm or lower impedance is available. Calibration standards are guided by precision pins for easy insertion and withdrawal. All Calibration Coefficients are provided.
This fixture is a natural compliment for use with Maury Microwave Tuners.
